Ramaphosa and Command Council meet as deaths soar

President Cyril Ramaphosa is meeting the National Coronavirus Command Council. But, it's unclear exactly what's on the agenda. The meeting comes as the country records more than one-million infections and over 30,000 deaths. The President's announcement of an adjusted level 3 lockdown has been criticised by several sectors. Many are also slamming government's vaccine rollout plan. On Sunday, the Health Minister announced it wants to vaccinate 40-million people by the end of the year. But, health experts and unions doubt this will be possible because there are no formal arrangements yet with any suppliers. They are also questioning if there is capacity to implement the rollout.
