In northeast China, the city of Harbin is preparing to celebrate the winter snow festival. Workers drag massive blocks of ice from the Songhua River to build the iconic Harbin Snow and Ice World, the backdrop for a festive winter wonderland. Meanwhile, further north in Heilongjiang province, Mohe’s snow and ice festival is already under way.
