Trump falsely claims US election system is " under coordinated assault and siege"

"As president, I have no higher duty than to defend the laws and the Constitution of the United States," says US President Donald Trump in a video extract posted on Twitter. "We used to have what was called Election Day," says Trump, "now we have election days, weeks and months, and lots of bad things happened during this ridiculous period of time." The president goes on to falsely claim that the election system is "under coordinated assault and siege." The two minute clip extract was part of a 46-minute-long video on the president's Facebook page.
