Hong Kong’s new Covid-19 cluster centred on dance clubs has mushroomed into the city’s second-largest outbreak of the pandemic. Authorities had earlier warned of a “super-spreading” event at the venues, as the city recorded its highest daily new case figure in three months. Among 68 cases confirmed on November 22, 2020, 46 were linked to the 14 dance clubs across the city, taking the total number of infections connected to the venues to 80 so far.
