Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers airdropped relief materials and food packages for people in the flood-affected Patna. Dewatering machines have also been sought by the state to provide relief in the area. Several parts of Bihar are battling with heavy rain and flood, which has thrown normal life out of gear. According to Bihar State Disaster Management Authority, at least 29 people have died due to rainfall. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Sushil Modi also held meeting with officials of flood-affected districts via video conferencing.
