Ace fashion designer Wendell Rodricks, 59, passed away at his Goa home on February 12. Wendell Rodricks launched his own fashion brand in 1989 and announced retirement from his label in 2016. Rodricks is known for bringing forth the concept of resort wear to the limelight. He also advocated eco-friendly fashion. Wendell Rodricks was currently working towards setting up his Moda Goa museum, his life’s dream in his home itself. His last tweet was also concerning this museum. Apart from being a remarkable designer, Rodricks was also an author. He also acted in films like ‘Boom’ and ‘Fashion’. He was honoured with the Padma Shri in 2014 and Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres in 2015. Rodricks death was mourned by many celebrities as tributes started pouring in as soon as the news of his demise broke.
