‘If We Touch Them Mistakenly, They Get Angry At Us’ | What Life Is Like For A Hawker In Pakistan?

In this episode, interviews from different hawkers at Jinnah bus terminal were conducted. A hawker’s job is to call out the passengers, as the buses get ready to leave for their routes. They work for 12 hours and earn approximately 500 to 600 in a day. They receive no benefits from bus companies and despite the rise in inflation; they have been earning the same amount of money for years. One of the hawkers stated that people are very hateful towards them. If they accidently touch them, they get angry. He expressed his views on how money makes people arrogant.
