BMC Deputy Municipal Commissioner Dies Of COVID-19 As Mumbai, With 51100 Cases Crosses Wuhans Tally

BMC’s Deputy Municipal Commissioner Shirish Dixit (57) died of the deadly coronavirus on June 9. Posted in BMC's water department, Dixit had tested positive a couple of days ago. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu MLA J Anbazhagan, who had tested positive for coronavirus, died in a hospital in Chennai on June 10. Anbazhagan, 61, a DMK MLA, was admitted to hospital on June 2 over ‘severe acute respiratory distress’ and had tested positive for COVID-19 at the time. Tamil Nadu is the second worst-hit state in India with over 34,914 COVID-19 cases & 307 deaths. The numbers in India now stands at 2,76, 583 with 7,745 deaths.
