Kuruluş: Osman (transl. Establishment: Osman) is a Turkish historical drama television series, created by Mehmet Bozdağ. It focuses on the life of Osman I, founder of the Ottoman Empire. It is the sequel to Diriliş: Ertuğrul, which was centered around the life of Ertuğrul, father of Osman. In the series, Osman is portrayed by Turkish actor Burak Özçivit.
Season 1
Kurulus: Osman - Season 1
Season 1 begins 10 or 15 years after the start of the Berke-Hulagu war where Ertuğrul Gazi has gone to Konya and he leaves his brother, Dündar Bey, in charge of the tribe.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Edabali recovers some entrustments taken by the evil Yannis and his daughter, Sofia, who are part of an evil Templar order. Osman then allies with Edabali and the Ahis against Yannis's organization, the 'Margarit Monks,' and falls in love with Edabali's daughter, Bala.
Osman then steals all the tax gold which was stolen by the Mongols and was going to be given to Alişar, the Seljuk Sançak Bey. Alişar now becomes an enemy of Osman. Gaykhatu sends Balgay to cause trouble and stop the Kayı from rebelling against the Mongols. He invades the Kayı tribe and holds everyone hostage until Osman comes.
Osman captures Sofia, he tells Yannis that he has to ask Balgay to come to the castle, in the way, he will ambush them, and then after, he can have his daughter back. Batur, Dündar's son, is now killed by Alişar and Osman’s ambush is successful but Dündar comes to kill Osman after he was named Batur’s killer by Alişar which results in Osman’s alps having to fight Dündar’s alps along with Balgay’s men.
Dündar takes his daughter, Aygül, to Alişar to get her married but are stopped by Osman in an ambush. Osman seeks to show Dündar and Aygül that he did not kill Batur. Osman thinks that Aygül will help him, but she later betrays him because she did not believe it from the start that Alişar killed Batur and Osman didn't. Aygül has now married Alişar and Osman has married Bala.
Osman captures Alişar and forces him to tell Dündar that he killed Batur. Dündar starts to beg for forgiveness and Osman beheads Alişar in the tribe. Meanwhile, Yannis is hanged by the Emperor at the Aya Sofia.
Dündar’s first wife, Hazal Hatun, arrives in the tribe, she plans to help her brother, Yavlak Arslan, in his plans to take over Söğüt and the Kayı tribe.
Sofia uses her ‘dark knights’ to attack Osman after Osman supposedly kills Balgay. The ‘dark knights’ injure Osman very badly which results in everyone believing Osman is dead. Osman takes that advantage and conquers Kulucahisar castle [tr] and supposedly kills Sofia.
