India is angry after bloody clash on June 15 between Indian and Chinese troops at Galwan. Across the country, there are calls to boycott Chinese products and halt bilater trade, with people burning Chinese appliances and goods and a Union minister even wanting a ban on restaurants selling Chinese food. WhatsApp forwards are further stoking sentiment. However, shutting the door on Chinese products now will not benefit India.

Massive protest against China is being held across the country with many breaking their TV sets, phones and other Chinese products to mark their protest. #BoycottChina, #BoycottChineseProducts, #ChineseProductsInDustbin and #BharatUnitedAgainstChina have been trending hashtag on social media platforms.

The basic reason for the popularity of Chinese products in India is the low price of products.
