The Madras High Court on Wednesday declared that the niece and nephew of the late
former chief minister J Jayalalithaa J Deepa and J Deepak were Class II legal heirs
entitled to inherit all her properties. The Madras High Court directed the Tamil Nadu
government to reconsider its decision to convert former chief minister Jayalalithaa's
residence "Veda Nilayam" into a memorial. In this interview, Chennai High Court
Advocate R.Varadharajan, a former DSP and forensic investigation expert, talks about
Secret Investigation with Late Tamilnadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa, whether
her Residence at Poes Garden Can Be Converted into CM Residence and
Office or not, the curious case of Jayalalithaa being Poisoned, Jayalalithaa queries on
personal Security measures like hidden Camera & much more. He clarifies that High
Court has only issued an advisory and not an order per say. Further, his opinion in an
individual capacity is that the legal heirs take the offered price by the government and let
the entire place be used as a memorial.

The erstwhile chief minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalitha, who was also a successful film
actress passed away on December 5, 2016. Her death was shrouded in mystery with
multiple controversy theories floating around. Adviocate R. Varadarajan recalls a few
occasions when he, as a fingerprint forensic expert, was vested with the investigation of
such incidences, chief among them being the case of Jayalalitha’s milk being laced with
poison. Jayalalitha’s long term friend and aide, V Sasikala, was believed to be her
successor until OPS and EPS took over the reigns of the government after a brief period
of political uncertainty.
