Tenor Tony Partington and pianist Logan Brown perform the "Italian Film Medley" from the world premier of BROADWAY TO HOLLYWOOD (1992).

INTRO: Back in the 1950s and 60s the American Film Industry became enamored with Italy. Indeed, who could blame them; Rome with its lovely Seven Hills, Venice the magical city on water, Naples, Capri. Italy with its romance and beauty was the perfect setting for the films America wanted. The joke in Hollywood during this period was, “I just got back from Rome. You know Rome? The film capitol of America!” Here are just a few songs from that wonderful period.

SONGS:
“Strada nel Bosco” (from the film THE BIG NIGHT)
“Al Di La” (from the film ROME ADVENTURE)
“Summertime in Venice" (from the film SUMMERTIME)
“Non Dimenticar" (from the film ANNA)
