Tteokbokki selected as S. Koreans' favorite comfort food in new survey

Tteokbokki, or spicy Korean rice cakes, has been selected as South Korea's favorite comfort food.
According to a survey conducted by the Seoul city government, the dish ranked top after a survey of around ten-thousand residents.
It was followed by fried chicken, Kimchi stew, grilled pork belly and ginseng chicken soup.
A survey of 50 foreign residents also selected similar foods.
The surveys were conducted as part of the 'Taste of Seoul' week set to be held from November 11th to 15th.
Officials say it's aimed at comforting fatigued residents and small business owners amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
