Delhi Capitals batsman Shikhar Dhawan on Wednesday scored his 39th 50-plus score in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to become the top half-century maker among the Indians in the history of the lucrative league.The left-hander opener scored 57 against Rajasthan Royals to reach the milestone at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.Dhawan's latest effort took him past Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, and Rohit Sharma, who all have scored 38 half-centuries.

शिखर धवन ने जब 53 रन बना लिए थे तब श्रेयस गोपाल की गेंद पर वो कार्तिक त्यागी के हाथों कैच आउट हुए। उन्होंने 43 गेंदों का सामना करते हुए 3 चौके व 2 छक्कों की मदद से ये स्कोर बनाए। उनका स्ट्राइक रेट 123.26 का रहा। शिखर धवन का ये इस लीग में 39वां अर्धशतक था। अब आइपीएल में भारतीय बल्लेबाजों में सबसे ज्यादा अर्धशतक बनाने वाले बल्लेबाज बन गए हैं। उन्होंने एक साथ विराट कोहली, रोहित शर्मा व सुरेश रैना को पीछे छोड़ दिया। इन तीनों के आइपीएल में अब तक 38-38 अर्धशतक हैं। राजस्थान रॉयल्स के खिलाफ आइपीएल में सबसे ज्यादा 50 प्लस स्कोर बनाने के मामले में शिखर धवन दूसरे नंबर पर हैं।
