M1 Highway project called waste of money

After months of frustration and mass traffic jams along Joburg's M1-Highway, it appears an upgrade project was a waste of money. Around R160 million of ratepayers' money was spent. Despite this, the double-decker bridge continues to flood during heavy rain. Siya Genu, head of the Johannesburg Road Agency's Infrastructure Development Department has the details on this.
