BASICS OF FLEXIDENTATE AND CHELATING LIGANDS

In this video I have discussed about flexidentate and chelating ligands with examples. I also gave an idea about inner-metallic chelates in the last part of this video. I explained about the cause of stability of chelates in light of thermodynamics involving the equation of change in Gibbs free energy during a chemical reaction. Several terms like entropy, enthalpy etc. is used in this discussion. I made a comparison between normal chelates and inner-metallic chelates at last section of my lecture. This video will definitely help the students to grow their concepts about flexidentate and chelating ligands. This topic is also very important for competitive examinations like NEET, JEE (Mains & Advanced), WBJEE etc.
