Xiaomi-backed smart ukulele teaches you how to play music within minutes

The hi-tech string instrument featuring a fretboard fitted with LED lights and companion app promises to get even people who are new to the instrument moving their fingers enough to make music within just a few minutes. South China Morning Post reporter Celia Chen tried out the “smart ukulele” called Populele, developed by Popumusic based in Shenzhen, China and with some backing from smartphone vendor Xiaomi Corp.
