The magnificent White Star liner 'Titanic' lays buried in the ooze of the Atlantic floor, some tow and a half miles beyond the sight and reach of man. Without doubt 'Titanic' is the most famous ship in history, a fame that stems from the ultimate tragedy of her stinking on a cold dark night in April 1912.
The memory of 'Titanic' is encrusted with legend, and in producing this film we have sought to strip away the mythology and see again the great ship in her true historical context. This is also the story of 'Titanic's sisters - 'Olympic' the elder, and 'Britannic' the younger - a story of the Beloved, the Dammed, and the Forgotten!

The Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912, after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New Your City. There were 1,514 people that drowned in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. Her passengers included some of the wealthiest people in the world, as well as over one thousand immigrants from Great Britain, Ireland, Scandinavia, and elsewhere seeking a new life in America. At 2 o'clock in the morning on April 15, 1912, "The Unsinkable Titanic" sunk and today the story lives on.
