Satellite images from space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa) have shown that the farmers have started burning the crop residue in parts of Punjab and Haryana, which, every year, plunges the air quality in Delhi and the surrounding region in a severe category. The Nasa satellite images showed 700 cases of stubble burning, mostly in Punjab and Haryana, have been spotted between 1-4 October.
