Dastan Pakistani Drama
Dastaan (Urdu: داستان) (English: The Tale) is a Pakistani TV series dramatized by Samira Fazal, and based on the novel Bano, by Razia Butt. It is based on the partition of the Indian Subcontinent and the resulting independence of Pakistan, and takes place between 1947 and 1956.
Hassan, a supporter of an independent Pakistan, gets engaged to Bano, whose elder brother, a pro-India voice, is married to Hassan's aunt. But the bloody partition of British India ruins their lives.
