This is the dramatic moment two brothers were rescued after being trapped in the middle of a raging flash flood in Indonesia.
Egha Gusliandi, 27, was sleeping when his younger sibling Rizky, 9, woke him up as water reached their room, in Sukabumi Regency, West Java.
The water was ankle-deep when Egha suddenly heard the torrents. It was rising fast so he thought they should escape to higher ground.
He grabbed his younger brother but just as they were crossing the street, a raging flash flood swept them away to the submerged rice fields.
Egha did not let go of his brother while drifting on the violent currents until he hit a boulder and held onto it until the rescuers found them.
Speaking after, he said: "I am glad we were saved, but most of all I am happy that I did not let go of my brother. I am thankful to the people who helped us."
The rescuers crossed the flash flood that had already receded when the two brothers were found.
They tied a safety harness on their bodies and assisted them to safer ground.
The two were given first aid before they were taken to a nearby hospital in Cicurug district.
They both suffered deep cuts and wounds on their legs and arms but were allowed to go home the next day.
Flash floods in Sukabumi killed at least three people and washed away 12 houses and several vehicles while damaging an hundreds of properties.
