Dad shot while protecting children during gunfight in NYC

A father has been shot while shielding his three children from a hail of bullets in the Bronx. The man was caught in the crossfire of an alleged gang hit at a car dealership on Boxton Road in the Eastchester section of the Bronx at around 7pm, Monday, 21st September. The 39-year-old can be seen jumping on top of his children who are sat waiting to be served as three masked shooters rush in and fire at two men who are talking to the car dealer. As bullets fly, huge panes of glass are seen shattering and other people run for cover as the dad continues to shelter his kids. The hero father was the only victim injured in the shooting according to NYPD, who confirmed he had been hit in the right thigh. His quick reactions managed to save his children, who escaped unharmed.
