Heavy rain brought a tide of garbage in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta on Monday night (September 21), that blocked up a major floodgate.
The tide of rubbish accumulated at the Manggarai floodgate in Central Jakarta, as footage of cleanup efforts on September 22 shows heavy machines being deployed to clear the river.
It was reported an estimated 328 tons of rubbish was retrieved from the canal during the initial cleanup.
