France, Germany and the UK have recently submitted a note to the United Nations demonstrating its long-standing legal stance regarding China's claims in the South China Sea.

According to the UN's official website on September 16, France, on behalf of the UK and Germany, submitted a note to the United Nations demonstrating its longstanding legal stance regarding China's claims in the South China Sea.

The note affirms that France, Germany and the UK will continue to maintain and affirm the rights and freedoms specified in the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and contribute to promoting cooperation in the region.
