City warns residents not to dump waste on the roadside

A stern warning has been sent to Tshwane residents not to illegally dump waste on the roadside. The city of Tshwane says it will not hesitate to take harsh action against them. In the past two weeks the City has experienced challenges with waste collection following the expiry of the vehicle lease contract at the end of last month. The municipality has managed to clear the waste collection backlog in most parts of the City. The City of Tshwane’s Head administrator, Mpho Nawa, discusses this.
