Muharram special traditional Roat recipe:

Roat is a type of biscuit which is traditionally prepared in oven using wheat flour, semolina and some dry fruits and on occassion of Muharram. Today I have prepared it without Oven using a frying pan. Hope u will like my recipe do give this a try and share ur experience in comments.


Wheat flour - 1 cup
Semolina - 1/4 Cup
Clarified butter or ghee - 1/4 Cup
Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Almonds - 3 tbsp chopped
Cashew - 3 tbsp chopped
Grated dry coconut - 1/2 cup
poppy seeds - 1 tbsp
Water - 1/4 Cup
