RSS sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat mourned the demise of former President Pranab Mukherjee and called him a great scholar and patriot. He said that the damage caused by his death cannot be replenished. Bhagwat said in a video message that the death of Dr. Pranab Mukherjee, the former President of India, is a great loss for all the volunteers who came in contact with him. I met him twice when he was president and after that I met him three or four times.

RSS के सरसंघचालक मोहन भागवत ने पूर्व राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी के निधन पर शोक प्रकट किया और उन्हें एक महान विद्वान और देशभक्त बताया. उन्होंने कहा कि उनके निधन से हुई क्षति की पूर्ति नहीं की जा सकती है. भागवत ने एक वीडियो संदेश में कहा कि भारत के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉ. प्रणब मुखर्जी का निधन उन सभी स्वयंसेवकों के लिए बहुत बड़ी क्षति है जो उनके संपर्क में आये थे. जब वो राष्ट्रपति थे तब मैं उसने दो बार मिला था और उसके बाद मैं उनसे तीन-चार बार मिला.
