Reference: On the afternoon of October 9, the body of Che Guevara was taken by helicopter to Vallegrande and was placed in the laundry room of the Nuestro Señor de Malta hospital, where it remained on public display during that day and the following day, introducing a large quantity of formaldehyde to prevent decomposition. Hundreds of people (soldiers, residents, onlookers, journalists) came to see the body. Among the belongings seized by the military was the newspaper that Che kept in Bolivia.
