Following the spike in COVID-19 cases here in the nation, South Korea has expanded the level-two social distancing scheme nationwide.
It will go into effect starting Sunday.
Speaking at a government briefing on Saturday, Health Minister Park Neung-hoo urged all citizens to take the current situation seriously and actively cooperate with the new measure.
Social distancing level two involves avoiding gatherings of more than 50 people indoors and more than 100 outdoors.
Private companies will be recommended to suggest employees work from home or to work on flexible hours to limit the number of workers at the office.
