The father of an 18-year-old trainee plumber who was shot to death after getting off a bus has made an emotional plea for his killers to be caught. Ronnell Kelly fought back tears as he made the heartfelt speech at a police press conference on Wednesday, 19th August. Suspects had pulled up next to Michael Kelly and his friend in a dark-coloured Sedan in Van Nuys Boulevard, Pacoima, Los Angeles, where they asked him if he “banged”, meaning whether he was a gang member. Michael responded “no”, but the men opened fire anyway, killing him on 15th February last year. Michael and his friend had just got off the bus and were walking down the Boulevard, outside a restaurant, when the incident happened. A USD $50,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to any arrests.
