A martial arts master Xie Desheng has claimed his fifth Guinness World Record after lighting 21 matches in one minute using a pair of nunchaku. Mr Xie, 27, who describes himself as a follower of legend Bruce Lee, is a nunchaku specialist from Guangdong Province in South China now living in Shanghai in East China. His lighting matches world record joins his other world records including playing table tennis with the nunchaku and also opening bottles by spinning the caps off, and he said he was inspired to do the stunts for real after seeing a TV advert in which a Bruce Lee impersonator did the same thing using special effects. His latest challenge was completed on 7th March in Shanghai, and he received his certificate from Guinness’s London headquarters on 12th July. His next goal is to set a Guinness World Record on the Great Wall of China, which he sees as the ultimate symbol of Chinese history and tradition, although he did not give more details of what he planned on the wall.
