The DOH reported 40,397 more survivors, bringing the total number of recoveries to 112,586. To note, the country recorded its previous record-high recoveries of 72,209 last August 15.

Similarly, the country’s COVID-19 cases continue to spike with 3,420 infections added on its caseload. The nationwide tally currently stands at 161,253. The number of active cases is now at 46,002, the DOH said.

Meanwhile, the death toll also climbed to 2,665 as 65 new fatalities were reported.

The DOH announced last Friday that it would make again an announcement of “time-based tagging of recoveries” as part of Its “Oplan Recovery.” This only involves mild and asymptomatic cases.
