N. Korea, Russia exchange greetings on Korea’s 75th Liberation Day

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin exchange greetings on Saturday to mark the 75th anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japan.
According to the North's state media Korean Central News Agency, in a letter to Putin, Kim expressed gratitude for Russian soldiers who sacrificed their lives for Korea's freedom.
He further wished to deepen bilateral ties following the agreement for cooperation reached during their first summit in April last year.
The Russian president said relations between Pyeongyang and Moscow are of a friendly and constructive character and that the Vladivostok summit clearly proves it.
