Unapproved retreaded tyres

The authorities have put the brakes on two illegal tyre-retread factories suspected of using fake Sirim certification and labels. Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai on Wednesday said the tyres produced did not comply with set standards and were a danger to the users and others on the road.
