Struggle veteran, John Nkadimeng, to be laid to rest

Last week Ambassador John Nkadimeng died. As with many of his peers, it is difficult to sum up his contribution to the struggle. Nkadimeng was a true believer in workers' rights and he joined various trade unions to try and improve the lives of black workers under apartheid. He joined the ANC in 1950 and was a key figure in keeping it active in Swaziland and Mozambique. Nkadimeng was one of democratic South Africa’s first group of diplomats. President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to deliver the eulogy at the special official funeral of late struggle stalwart John Nkadimeng, today.
