Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 109th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania National Guard, joined with Airmen from the Maryland National Guard for a combined arms live fire exercise at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa. on July 30, 2020.

The Soldiers worked through several battle drills including reacting to contact, team bounding and more, while safeties provided support during the live fire exercise. The airmen from the Maryland National Guard flew A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, as part of their own training, and incorporated close air support within the exercise like they would in a real combat scenario.
