Firefighters in Santa Clarita, California came close to 30-foot-high flames from a roadside brush fire on August 3.

Footage shows the violent flames come close to the road as smoke billows rapidly.

The filmer explained: "While battling a fast-moving brush fire, two engine companies were faced with 30-foot flames overrunning them! Units from Los Angeles County Fire attack a 3rd alarm brush fire in Santa Clarita today around 2:30 pm.

"Whipped by 10-15 mph south winds, aircraft helicopters and fixed-wing from Cal Fire assisted."
