Do you think consent has to be verbal? Do you think it can be implied?

If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, you can call the National Sexual Assault Telephone Hotline at 800-656-HOPE (4673) or visit online.rainn.org. Sex Ed for Social Change State Profiles: https://bit.ly/3ffdiUP

As we've discovered with most sex education topics, consent is overlooked and unaddressed. Women are more likely to be taught to "just say no," but men are rarely taught to ask. While most people (but not all) think that someone who is incapacitated or passed out cannot give consent, they usually don't agree on what consent is.

The dictionary definition of consent is, "affirmative, conscious, and voluntary agreement to engage in sexual activity," and it can be revoked at any time. And when most women say they have been sexually harassed, along with almost 30% of men, it's clear that there is an issue with consent that starts with the lack of education both within society and at school.
