Canadian dad catches sunfish with huge lamprey on it
This Canadian dad saved the life of a sunfish when he caught it with a huge lamprey on it while handline fishing.
The clip, filmed on July 17 in Quebec shows David Freiheit catching the sunfish before seeing the huge parasite sucking onto it.
Freiheit explains in the video that the lamprey must be killed if seen because they are a parasite.
"They are an invasive species that need to be eradicated, and I went into the house to show the children the horrific creature after the job was done. Suffice to say no one will be going swimming for a little while!" David told Newsflare.
