The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide has exceeded 13-point-8 million.
The U.S. has the highest number of cases... and continues to post new records in terms of daily new infections.
The virus is spreading rapidly in Brazil as well as in India,... which now have the world's second and third highest number of confirmed cases.

The total number of coronavirus cases worldwide has topped 13-point-8 million.
And as of Friday, according to Johns Hopkins University, the outbreak has killed at least 589-thousand people.
The U.S. has seen by far the highest number of cases in total.
And on Thursday, it saw an all-time high of more than 77-thousand new infections, bringing the total to more than three-point-five million.
There were almost a thousand more deaths on Thursday, raising the death toll to around 138-thousand.
The hardest-hit areas, including Texas, Arizona and Florida, are facing an alarming rise in hospitalizations and are running out of hospital beds.
Brazil's coronavirus cases and deaths are rising fast, too.
In total, the country has seen more than 2 million cases and over 76-thousand deaths,... the world's second highest behind the United States.
Government figures show nearly 40-thousand new infections every day.
As the virus spreads not only in Brazil's major cities, but also rural areas, residents are concerned about the poorly coordinated response.
"I'm really, really scared. Every day (coronavirus cases) increase. The trend isn't decreasing, it's increasing. And with all these crowds - I'm running out of here."
The pandemic is also spreading rapidly in India.
The number of COVID-19 cases in India has surpassed one million, fueled by a surge in the countryside where healthcare infrastructure is much weaker.
India saw a record of more than 34-thousand new infections on Friday with the death toll surpassing 25-thousand.
The country's testing rate in relation to its population is one of the lowest in the world.
