Air routes between South Korea and China may be expanded from the current 10 flights a week to 20 starting this month to ease difficulties for businesses and international students who need to travel.
Seoul's transport ministry says it's in consultations with Chinese authorities to expand flight routes and the number of flights.
Currently, due to COVID-19, only 3 and 7 airlines from South Korea and China, respectively, are operating one flight a week each and authorities are working to expand that to more airlines.
From Sunday, planes are now flying between Incheon and Nanjing.
Additional air routes between Incheon and Guangzhou, Jeju and Xian and Incheon and Shenzhen to be added later this month.
