Malaysia reported eight new Covid-19 cases on Saturday (July 11), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 8,704.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that in a statement, adding that the country recorded one more death from Covid-19, taking the death toll to 122.
The death involved a 72-year-old man who had a history of hypertension and diabetes.
