Companies with a strong corporate culture, good customer relations and resilient supply chains fared better than others during the coronavirus crisis, drawing new attention to these factors in financial performance, says Mirjam Staub-Bisang, CEO of BlackRock Switzerland. Before the pandemic, investors were focused “very much on climate change and the E, the environmental of ESG,” she says. “Now with the crisis, there comes this focus on S, on social.”
