From heavy rain and flooding in Japan to massive wildfires in the Siberian Arctic countries and regions across the globe are facing natural disasters on an unprecedented scale.
And according to some experts, global warming and climate change is the reason.

Hundreds and thousands of homes in Japan are still under water... after consecutive days of heavy rain.
According to Japanese broadcaster NHK, more than 50 people have died and 16 others are missing on the southern island of Kyushu.
Some experts blame global warming.
As the temperature of the water rises, warm and humid water vapor have increased, causing a record amounts of rain in the region.
China, too, has seen severe flooding.
After some of the heaviest rain in decades, floods have killed more than 100 people in Hubei province,... triggering mudslides and damaging roads and facilities.
Outside Asia, global warming has caused wildfires in the Siberian Arctic.
The fires were fueled by a combination of dryness and average temperatures in June 10 degrees warmer than usual.
This has resulted in an unprecedented release of carbon dioxide.
In Italy, a glacier is turning pink due to ice-melting algae.
As the planet gets warmer, melting snow provides ideal conditions for the algae to grow.
This caused snow to melt much faster than usual.
Globally, last month, compared to the period between 1980 and 2010, the average temperature was point-9-5 degrees Celsius higher.
