Despite what appeared to be some positive news regarding fans returning to stadiums,... a recent spike in COVID-19 cluster infections has meant... that fans of both KBO and K League will have to wait a bit longer.

No, absolutely not. At the end of June it appeared as though football and baseball fans would be able to re-enter stadiums but, as you said, the COVID-19 situation means that a decision on when and under what circumstances, has been delayed indefinitely.
KBO and K League were preparing for fans to be allowed in stadiums as soon as Friday 10th July - tomorrow. What have the organizations said?
A rep from K League has gone on record as saying that, because of this rise in COVID-19 cases, those plans have now been pushed back... adding the "absolute priority" is to complete the season in full and without any problems. The relevant parties will have discussions again when the situation is stable.
Baseball fans in Japan will be allowed in stadiums as soon as tomorrow, but what about in Korea?
KBO teams and representatives are awaiting a new set of guidelines. An unnamed rep said recently that they are ready to allow spectators in, they are just waiting for the green light. So, much like a fly ball, things are very much 'up in the air'.
Fans of course play a huge part in how a game can pan out but a lack of supporters hasn't stopped some players performing.
True, most notably Cesinha of Daegu FC who was named as the K League Player of the Month for June. He scored six and assited four in June. Cesinha is a fans favourite at Daegu but could also be lining up alongside Son Heung-min.
How would that work?
That is because Cesinha has expressed a desire to become a naturalized Korean citizen and play for the Korean National Team - he wants to be a teammate of Son Heung-min for Korea.
Is this something that he is seriously looking into? Has the process begun?
Yes, and it seems as though the Daegu FC are helping him. There are certain requirements, one of which is to have resided in Korea for five years. Under special naturalization - being very good in certain fields such as sports and contributing to national interests. More on that as it progresses.
Speaking of those who represent the Korean National Team, it has been a busy week for some, Lee Kang-in for instance with a vital goal for Valencia.
Yes, Lee Kang-in struck in the last minute to fire Valencia to a 2-1 win over Valladolid on Tuesday night. The result keeps Valencia in the hunt for Europa League qualification. Son Heung-min and Spurs played on Tuesday, winning 1-0 against Everton. But there seemed to be a little argument between Son and Spurs 'keeper Hugo Lloris. Perhaps the Amazon Prime documentary will shed some light on that..
