The Rashtriya Swayam Chang was formed to protect Hinduism and Hindu sentiment from difficult situations in this Bharat earth, where gods and saints were incarnated. Madhava Sadasiva Golwalkar also known as Parama Poojaneya Guruji is one of the most revered and respected by this organization.

He was born in 1906 in Ramtek town in Nagpur district of Madhya Pradesh. After completing his undergraduate studies at Hislop College, Nagpur, he went on to study at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He then completed his graduation in 1928. Due to inadequate funding, he stopped his study of marine organisms in Chennai and left the Banaras Hindu University as a lecturer. He studied law in 1939 and graduated as a lawyer. He went to the Sarakachi Ashram in Mushirabad and studied with Swami Vivekananda in the Kurukulam of Swami Ramakrishna. On the advice of the Guru, he was ready to engage in community service.

When he was working at the Banaras Hindu University, he founded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak branch in Varanasi because of his close association with Keshava Balram Hedgewar, the founder and national leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In 1939, he became general secretary of the Rashtriya Swayam Chang Organization. He became the chief director of the Rashtriya Swayam Sangh in 1940 after the demise of national leader Kesava Balram Hedgewar.

While the national president of the Golwalkar Rashtriya Swayam Sangh, branches were formed throughout the country. In 1942, Rashtriya Swayam Chang had prepared the members of the Rashtriya Swayam Chang to help protect the British independence leaders who were fighting for Indian independence.

Golwalkar was one of the most vocal advocates of India in the aftermath of World War I when many parts of the world were subjugated by other religious nations.

After the independence of India in August 1947, Golwalkar was one of the most opposed to the splitting of the Indian nation. Significantly, in the wake of the controversy over which area of Kashmir should be included in the aftermath of independence, key leaders of the Indian government sought to link Kashmir with India, to the Maharaja of Kashmir.
Let us remember this great man who worked for the peace and success of our Bharat.
