Jagannath Rath Yatra of Puri is world famous. Lakhs of devotees from all over the world come here to see and participate in it. During this journey, devotees pull huge wooden chariots with their hands. Sri Krishna, Balarama and his sister Subhadra are seated in three different huge chariots involved in this journey. Jagannath temple is considered one of the four dhams of the country. During this entire journey, Lord Balabhadra's chariot is at the forefront then his sister Subhadra and finally Lord Jagannath's chariot. जगन्नाथ पुरी की रथ यात्रा विश्‍व प्रसिद्ध है। इसे देखने और इसमें हिस्‍सा लेने के लिए देशभर से ही नहीं बल्कि पूरी दुनिया से लाखों श्रद्धालु यहां पर पहुंचते हैं। इस यात्रा के दौरान लकड़ी के बने विशाल रथों को श्रद्धालु अपने हाथों से खींचते हैं। इस यात्रा में शामिल तीन अलग-अलग विशाल रथों में श्री कृष्‍ण, बलराम और उनकी बहन सुभद्रा विराजमान होती है। जगन्नाथ मंदिर को देश के चार धाम में से एक धाम माना गया है। इस पूरी यात्रा के दौरान भगवान बालभद्र का रथ सबसे आगे फिर उनकी बहन सुभद्रा और अंत में भगवान जगन्नाथ का रथ होता है। इस यात्रा के दौरान बनाए गए भगवान जगन्‍नाथ के लकड़ी के विशाल रथ में 16 पहिए होते हैं। वहीं उनके भाई बलराम के रथ में 14 व बहन सुभद्रा के रथ में 12 पहिए लगे होते हैं। इस यात्रा का वर्णन विभिन्‍न धार्मिक ग्रंथों और पुराणों में मिलता है। जानें जगन्नाथ रथ यात्रा का इतिहास क्या हैं ।
