Airbnb Announces New Selection of Virtual Experiences The company's virtual offeringswere first launched in April when COVID-19 cases were steadily increasing in the United States. At the time, the company explained that it wouldprovide people a way to “connect, travel virtually,and earn income during the COVID-19 crisis.” Now, Airbnb has formed “first of its kind partnerships” with the Olympics, Paralympics,Broadway, Pride Week and more. Airbnb,via statement Virtual travelers around the world will be able tointeract and learn from Olympic “sports idols,” such asBreeja Larson, Pauls Pujāts and Derek Redmond. Guests can also choose to take part inBroadway-themed experiences, whichshowcase the work of cast members,set designers and dancers. In honor of Pride, Airbnb is offering anumber of experiences led by LGBTQ hosts, withall proceeds donated to LGBTQ non-profits.
