James Lewis is a successful lettering artist who has worked with big brands like Amazon, Samsung, and Pepsi. Recently he’s been using his sign-painting techniques to recreate cartoon characters from "The Simpsons," "Scooby-Doo," "Tom and Jerry," and more. His pieces are made using high-flow acrylic paint. James starts by sketching the character onto a canvas and lays down the flat matte colors with sable-hair brushes he designed. To pull everything together, he uses a thin liner brush to create the black outlines.
