'Halloween decorations!' Toronto forest glazed with webbing as thousands of caterpillars invade

A forest in Toronto, Canada has been covered by a layer of webbing created by thousands of caterpillars that have invaded along the Humber River.

The footage filmed on June 4 shows trees and bushes engulfed by web that is crawling with thousands of caterpillars.

The filmer told Newsflare: "The amount of web and destruction was incredible, the forest looked like someone had put up Halloween decorations!
